Newspaper Front Cover Summary
Firstly, the front cover of a Newspaper I have created for my piece of work is the topic to do with the Riots. The Newspaper I have chosen to create is The Sun, I have therefore chosen The Sun because: the actual papers Genre is a tabloid and less political. The Newspaper that I have created is aimed at a working class audience as the newspaper itself is cheap and for less educated readers.
Secondly, in my front page article I have represented the riots as terrible youths and them to blame for their shocking, violent behaviour. The Ideology is mainly blaming and representing young people/youths as dangerous individuals. In Addition to not only representing the riots; I also managed to represent the police in a positive manner, as they were risking their own lives on the street to tackle rioters and put a stop to them.
Furthermore, before creating my Newspaper article I knew plenty of knowledge about the paper itself. I knew that The Sun itself is persuasive and is less political and its front cover jumps straight to the point in the headline. Knowing the previous knowledge about the particular Newspaper had an interesting effect on my creative decision. I also chose The Sun because the language is informal and easy to read.
In Conclusion, my decisions were based on viewing different Newspapers and looking at their features such as: the use of language used, text, font and images. Therefore I chose The Sun because it is less political and uses large font - big images that are eye catching and draws attention to readers/audience.
